I have removed the petrol tank from my van and it looks abit worst for wears.. i want to clean it up and paint it, can i use any paint or should i be using something special??

i think it's just ordinary paint from new but something like hammerite smooth will keep the crud off it better.
be careful with your preperation tho as they're very thin from new and once corroded you could easily make it leak if you're rough with it
