Rear seat belts

Evening all,
Just become a T25 owner for the first time, I'll hopefully be collecting the bus tomorrow, but one job will need doing ASAP. There a currently no rear seatbelts fitted, and as the camper conversion was performed on a panel van I suspect that there are no mounting points. What type of job is this going to be? Will I need to get things welded in?
cheers, and a happy new year to all.

Richard,
Good to hear you've now found a van
Check first to make sure there definately aren't any mounting points. If not, then you will need to drill some. You must, however, use plate mounts for the underneath so that the load is spread over a larger area.
Cheers,
Sam.

Hi Sam,
Cheers, I have found some items at JustKampers, simply called "SEAT BELT MOUNTING PLATES WITH NUTS (PAIR)" - I presume that the simplest method will be the use a pair of these, a couple of the mounting bolts, then a regular lap belt? I would prefer a 3 point type seat belt, but I imagine that these will need a lot more messing to fit?
thanks again
Richard

Those would be the plates.
Simpler, as you say to do lapbelt, but it is possible for three point and perhaps worth it for the safety benefits. Im sure someone who has done 3 point will be along soon to advise (and they may also like to add to the WIKI section

).
Cheers,
Sam
