anyone done away with their lower rad grille and replaced it with mesh, another cut down grille from a different vehicle, louvres, etc.?
just a thought, if anyone has any pics to put up i'd be interested.
just think there must be an alternative to the south effrican wraparound style grille, or the short std one, something different could look cool if nicely done. :D

I've seen body coloured mesh fitted in 1 and they smoothed the old fixings over, B&Q do a range of weird grille sheets now and halfords too tho B&Q is probably cheaper..

i thought about trying a cut down debadged mk2 golf gti grill with the spot lights in .

thought it would look cool with the round spot lights in the lower grill as they match the headlights.

i'm just not sure about the clearance between the rad and spotlight rears :?

thanks for the replies/ideas, might have a measure up and a trip to the local car breakers for a look around to see what can be persuaded to fit, would like the de-badged look on the upper grille, would that involve cutting out the centre section and carefully grafting in a plain section of a second, identical grille? subtle things like that appeal to me more than the obvious grille- top spoilers, etc.
