 Just been reading postings about interior lighting. Didn't see any mention of the following:
B&Q sell quite cheap halogen lights for kitchens, bathrooms etc. They consist usually of a bar, transformer, wiring and several bulbs and holders. If you take the bulbs seperately they are 12 volt. I have two wired up from my leisure battery. All you need do is drill a hole of the appropriate size, spring in the holder and wire up! Easy and cheap :D
Just make sure you are aware of the heat they give off and therefrore any fire hazard  . Use a fair bit of battery power too but they are neat. 8)

I think you have said it all - give off too much heat and consume a lot of electricity!

FIRE HAZARD!!! Don't use them or take them out if you have already fitted them. Common sense should prevail! The safety of you/yourfamily/your camper is paramount at all times! :)

End of fire safety lecture. :D
