Hi all.

Just put new boots on the front CV's.

It was a learning curve & thought if you (like me) had never seen a CV before this might be of a little help.

First things first.......Get some protection from our summer weather, last thing we want is a case of heat-stroke!!!

I stripped evrything off....sure there must be an easier way....a manual would of been good....

There's the dirty little bu88er!......

Dismantled, cleaned...just got to remember how it all goes back together.........Like some sort of executive toy....lovely engineering, even art!....

All back & ready for new grey grease..........

Ta! Will put that in Wiki Karl, backing up what's there already..

NB. This is for 'early' type lower control arms, later cast ones, I believe cannot be removed like that ...

Anyone got a photo-article on front wheel bearings?

Mine are the late arms.

I managed to do mine by removing only the top link.
Had to remove the brake caliper to get enough lean on the upright, but it can be done, ..its very tight, but possible.

Will take some pics next time ive got one off
