Hi, ive just bought my 1st T25 & im sorting the interior out. My Caravelle has air conditioning fitted, although not working. The most obvious reason for this is the air con motor bolted on the engine has no belt, im presuming it should have a belt from the bottom engine pulley to the air con motor?? am i right??
The bottom engine pulley fitted can only accomodate 1 belt though. Do i need a pulley that can run 2 belts? Thanks for any help.

Your Air-Con compressor will need a belt to drive it. This is indeed fitted to the bottom pulley. My bottom pulley has three rings - Air-con, alternator and power steering pump. I don't know of the availability of the bottom pulley.

I took my van to an air con specialist tonight to have the system regassed. The bloke said it would be really handy to know what weight of gas to put into the system as it would function correctly and he could also monitor any leaks over a few weeks. There are no markings on the van to indicate this weight and it is not mentioned in the Haynes manual. It just gives the helpfull advice to - "consult the main dealer" Can anyone help??
Thanks.

Mine doesn't have pulley's, just a funny windy thing on the inside of each cab door, strange, but has seemed really efficient the last month or two, nice and cool, hope it doesn't make it too cold in the winter
WHEN IS IT GONNA STOP P+++ING IT DOWN?
Thats me vented then, (and a little lubricated)

I don't have the funny windy things you talk of on the inside of the cab doors. I only have electric switches which say up and down - They've stopped working too which is why I want my air con fixed!!!
