Ok fitting a new Kenwood stereo in the van and everything seems great....then turn the volume up and the cd payer turns itself off!
Now my leisure battery may be on its way out as I have had it on charge and it doesn't seem to be charging fully.....but I will see in a couple more hours.
Now the cd player has started turning itself off even on low volume although the radio works. Oh and when I say turns off I also mean the whole unit ie loss of power for a second before it tries to turn itself back on?
Weird just thinking that the cd player + turning the volume up takes more juice than the radio?
Anyway thoughts would be great.

If you have your engine running the charge state of your leisure battery should not make any difference. Assuming you have a working split charge arrangement.

I'd be looking at poor connections, Bad earths, and scotchlok power crimps.

Turning the vol up will increase the current drawn, the voltage dropped across a poor connection is proportional to the square of current,
A large voltage dropped across a bad connection may not leave enough for your stereo to work.

Ta Tony it seems that my leisure (well its not really) is fubared!
Hadn't had the ignition turned on and it seems that the batt is only taking half charge? This is according to my super dooper ctek charger it is only lighting the half charge icon?
I will try it a bit longer before I look at getting another battery... could do without it really as just had to spend £250 on bike mot only to have the wedgie go straight through the same day!!!
