Actually, your not the only person looking for a decent garage (preferably a VW specialist) in Southampton area. Another member Katie is looking for a trustworthy garage in the same area.
I have PM'ed the only member I know of down that way, Popeye- Doyle to see if he knows of a suitable garage. There must be other members living in Hants who can suggest somewhere?

worth a call

Don't know much about Pete (headley18 on here) except he is the Gasure South fitter and therefore has impressed Steve at Gasure .. worth contacting! His details are here:

he is also known as Campertechnique .. and appears on this forum from time to time

I live in Winchester and have previously taken mine to Alf at VW Services down Allington Lane (Bishopstoke). He always fixes it quickly, but I was getting a bit narked with a few things which I won't post here (PM me if you really want to know).
I've just booked it in with Pete Campertechnique for some work next week (he's in Basingstoke, but is mobile). I've never booked him before, but hear that he's very good.
Cheers,
Stimpy

Sorry Phil, I thought you lived in Portsmouth, not Portland.

Blue Trukkie and Captain Jake live down that neck of the woods.

Well whatever you do don't go to Beetle repairs under the Itchen bridge Soton. I only asked them to check out an oil leak to see if they would give the same answer as another garage....and they charged me an hours labour, plus a tenner to put some oil in "as it was low"...If he had looked in the back of the bus he'd of found a bloody bottle of the stuff!
W*****s.

There was a garage in Fratton (portsmouth) called Flourish specialising in campers, but they have now relocated to Furzley corner, Denmead (near to waterlooville) and are called something original like "Furzley vehicle repairs- . I have used them for about three years. It's a pretty basic looking set up but I've never been done over and usually get some helpful advice. Guy called Pat runs it. Tel 02392258889.
