I am about to purchase an 89 westy Joker.

Not sure what belts (if any) I should expect as std.

Question is....whats the best way of keeping my 20 month old girl safe whilst traveling.....

Dont really want her in the front seats..

Any help appreciated.

Have you got a van yet? In a Westy you should expect to get lap belts in the rear. It is possible to add a 3 point seat belt on the non cupboard side. If you don't want to go down that route, you could use a car seat suitable to fit a lap belt. Our daughter is 8 months now and travels up front, as soon as she is old enough she'll go in a Maxi Cosy front facing seat, you can get a base that fits with a lap belt and has a stabilising leg that goes down to the floor

I have not picked up the van yet ...and therefore not sure what belts it has.
As for the seat you suggest.....I dont think that one is big enough for my daughter (20 months).

I have read that a Britix Renaisance has some sort of stabiliser that makes it safe to use with a lap belt....so will explore this.

britax eclipse (i think it is) we have for summer (13 months) fits witha lap belt....
