240 mile success.... but.. a little noisy.

Hi there,

Just returned from the New Forest (rain) without too much trouble, apart from a slight leak from where the exhaust meets the silencer... the gasket that was there has perished slighty and left about a two inch long gap... to take the two parts apart and replace the gasket will involve all sorts of bolts being drilled (very corroded round there) and that then might lead to a new exhaust...

So, is there another option ? Exhaust gum ? Pack it into the gap ? Any other options ?

Cheers... as ever,

like the rev said. temporary means just that :? its not just very intense heat your contending with, ita also the pressure of exhaust gasses. after 27 years of bodging motorbikes and cars i havent found anything that works better than a "new exhaust"
