its the metal end of the brake hose(s) ! dont mess about trying to wet n dry/wd40 to get a ticket - replace the hoses . easy job and cheap (oh and a lifesaver if your old ones are shagged)

thanks for the info....
I have looked on the JK website and the hoses are about 7.50 each, the mot testing station gave me a quote for 31 quid each???
is it as simple as taking them off and putting new ones on? do you have to drain the system and bleed etc?
thanks for your help on this

Yes dead easy job. all brakes will need to bleed after changed hoses. just make sure bleed nipples on front calipers are free as have been known to rust and can be abit awkward sometimes to crack off.

Without sounding a tw4t if you have to ask this do you really think you should be messing around with something you rely on to save your life? at least get someone who knows what they are doing to give you a hand.

Thanks for all the help/advice, used to run a spitfire years ago and changed brake lines etc, its just a t25 is a new vehicle to me but the theory is exactly the same!!!
got all the bits from JK today so will put brake lines on and follow the right procedure for bleeding the brakes etc, then put it through the mot again...
but comments about if have you have doubts about changing something as vital as brakes are completly valid and taken on board!
will keep you posted!!!
cheers
