propex running from lpg tank

Can you run a propex heater on the gas thats in the lpg tank (for the engine). Its a Gasure conversion. Also would it then be possible to run the hot air from the propex through the van's ducting for proper de-misting / cab heating?

2.0 A/C

my heat exchangers are knackered so thought this might be a better option than replacing them, just provide heat from a less stinky source.

You can use propex from your LPG, but you need a tank with both liquid and vapour takeoff. I have one in my van, Gasure sell them.
However you can't and shouldn't use LPG when moving, even if it is a separate bottle.
Two reasons: first you are taking vapour from the top of a liquid container, the liquid sloshes around with the movement of the vehicle and you could get liquid passing into you appliance. Anyone who has tried to use a cheep blowlamp to solder pipes under floorboards will be familiar with the effect. Second in the event of a RTA the gas will not fail safe and a poetically huge gas leak could be the result.
The duel use tanks have an electrically operated solenoid to ensure that the gas valve is closed when the engine is running.
