The perennial Q - plugs and LPG

Looks like my leads and plugs may be the cause of some probs...

AM currently using NGK iridium ones - they've been in a while - leads are OLD though.

So, Aircooled 2l - which plugs are best? (Got confused over the watercooled ones before) I know they need to be single point and gap reduced but...

Bosch 6, 7 or 8?
Or NGK equiv?

A code would be VERY helpful (and maybe adding this to the wiki??? I tried once but it didn't let me E D I T and then fell over :-(

Use good quality leads.. ie known brand.. bosch hella etc...
Plugs... I have only ever used the std plugs in any of mine on LPG and gapped to std setting... if the ign components are in good nick and the LPG is set up nice you shouldnt have a problem really.. you may find advancing the timing a few degrees helps, but you need to speak to someone that can advise about the Aircooled.. (I did run a 1.7L type 4 in the back of an old T25 I had on LPG.. and set it advanced over stock, 5 degrees extra IIRC.. ran real well.. didnt have a petrol system on it at all... cant advise well enough on the CU with twin vac distributor..

Have mailed him and ploughed through forums - settling on Bosch 8's with reduced gap...

Need to book it into to gasure sometime anyway...
