ENGINE PROBLEM

I've got a 1991 T25 with a newly fitted DG 1900cc engine.....

The problem I have is that it has a habit of driving well for about 20-30 miles then starts to hunt and miss/backfire then runs down to a stop, I then leave it for a couple of minutes and it starts fine and can run well for the rest of the day or it can run for a couple of miles then do the same thing over again.

I assume I have a problem with the fuel system rather than the engine,.....any ideas??

sounds to me like the choke is sticking, or the filter is blocked

Some muck in your fuel tank? Or Carb?

try redex in the tank you should see a difference after the first tank full through it then put a second tank full through it. it sure cured mine and it was worse than yours. if that doesnot cure it then its either fuel filter pump carbs or injecters

have you tried slowly tipping the redex directly into the top of the carb? obviously making sure your tie doesn't get tangled up in the drive belts ;)

SYNCRO.... Did the RedX work? If not, you are not to far from me. If you like you can pop over and I can have a look at it for you. Not that I know what I am talking about, half the time. But two heads are better than one.
