Mach 5 Wheels

I think I remember seeing a picture (or video) somewhere on here of a syncro running Mach 5 wheels. These are made by Matt Lee and use five curved tubes as spokes.
Anyone want to confirm my memory by owning up to having these? I am thinking about getting some myself and would appreciate a chat.
thanks

It's Dai with the Mach 5's on his syncro, apparently there are only 2 sets in existence and the guy who makes them wont make any more

. Seems there's more money to be made and less hassle from sticking to Land Rovers

Yes Dai's van has a set and yes the guy who makes them is not interested
in making any more for syncros.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds that one or two (or more?) of you have already followed this route. Do you think that he might reconsider if there was a group of people wanting sets of wheels?

Scorpion now sell Zu wheels which are very similar - probably german, and maybe available in pcd112, worth asking eh ?

I herd the Mach 5 buisness was for sale not long ago. No idea if it actully changed hands though. I think with that in mind the original (current?) owner has limited interest in the hole operation (other buisness lines taking too much time) and so you can see why they aren't interested in any neash markets anymore. There are so many land rover owners willing to pay massive emounts of money for them it'd probubly cost them to ajust the jigs.
If it has changed hands though the current makers might be more willing to listen than last time someone enquired though!

last year there was a big rukkas on the forums bout mach 5s and the welds seperating-dunno if that had owt to do with it.Beaker- SCRAPIRON Racing ? have a shuftie on ORRP bout them

seen first hand a wide angle UJ explode after 5 miles turns out this piece of carlos fandango engineering was a casting with more air in it than an aero!

Hi Pat, matt used to make one off fitment wheels ,but as far as i know he only ever made two sets for T25`s
I had both sets of 4 made about 4 years ago with the offset to match Audi A4, one set of which are on a friends two wheel drive T25 and the other were on my Syncro, but the welds cracked on the spokes of the front ones, when i rang him and told him what had happened he said that they were "competition spec" and as such there was no warranty with them.He later had a change of heart and rang me up saying that he had made me another set with the correct offset for the syncro. He had even had them powder coated in silver for me,Top bloke

since then as some of you know ive driven my syncro in some extreme situations and the only thing ive had to do with them is re-powder coat them
He also had a pair made for a V6 trike I built in `99
