Torque converter removal

Hello, need to change engine from my bus as head bolt broke when driving down motorway.It's a 2.1 auto and have never removed an auto enigne so not sure how you unbolt the torque converter from the engine. Any help Thanks.

Convertor is bolted to a 'flex' plate which is in turn bolted to the crank end.
So access the bellhousing and undoe the bolts holding the flexplate to convertor , you'll have to turn the engine to get at each bolt.

Just make sure the engine you buy is correct. The Auto's have different cam shafts fitted. Although to be honest I dont know how much you would notice the difference. I dont think there are any other differeneces.

Oh should have said that access point is a poxy little grommet on top left of engine (looking from back)

And if memory serves me there are three bolts holding it on, watch me be proved wrong..

Yep, three 13mm bolts and engine came out easy leaving torque converter untouched in gearbox. Cheers for help.
