I own a 1988 westfalia club joker. It has a plastic rear window which is leaking through the seal at the bottom near the corner. The cause is hard to find but the window is cracked around the edges. Can any one tell me-
1.Is this a common problem?
2.I've been told that it would be best to remove the plastic window and fit a secondhand glass one.Any one know who might have one?
Any advice would be appreciated.

remove the plastic window, repair it, but dont put a glass one in. double glazed plastic windows are expensive!!
a good way of fixing a seal leak is to inject heated waxoyl into the suspected leak area with an hypodermic syringe and needle(in hot weather) or run a bead of waxoyl around the seal

Waxoil will cause rubber seals to deteriorate over time. It says so on the tin!

Surely if its not good for your chaps raincoat then it can't be good for your vans rubber seals??
Halfords do a silicone spray which says on the tin it is good for rubber...(could ruin the moment though).

And both of which leaking can cause an expensive "problem".
