Hi
I had a problem a while back with my fridge not sparking, I had the fridge out and fixed this problem.
Since putting it back it sparke and the flame burns fine but the fridge is not getting cold. I laft it on for 2 days (flame still burning) and nothing.

I have had it out again and cleared air pipe/bleeder at the bottom and checked it over, i cant see a problem

Any help would be much appreciated

Remove it again, turn it upside down for a few houres, and try again

tried that it was upside down for aout 40mins
will it make a big difference leaving it longer?

I normaly leave them over night. Must admit never tried after a short time.

I am led to understand that fridges are pretty sensitive to being level.
On gas the flame heats a small section of pipe, being off level the flame misses the pipe, thus no cooling.

i have recently cured the same problem on our fridge, problem was a blocked jet limiting the gas supply so the flame wasnt strong enough

we removed the jet completely then blasted it through with carb cleaner and poked through some very fine wire. not really the recommended course of action but it worked

I have just tried to clean the gas jet on our old RM122 2 way fridge. All I can say is do not bother just go and buy a new one. Not cheap but will be a safer option. On the old one the jet hole was in a very thin brass piece that even the softest cleaning with a piece of ultra thin wire enlarged the hole. The new one is more robust. The chap at the caravan company that I used said that the fridge should be serviced every year and that more times than not the jet would be changed every year

just to say that turning upside down is about making the two fluids in the cooling system remingle after they have settled out.

I got a fridge from a scrapped caravan recently and was disappointed that it wasn't responding properly to power input after several hours. I confess my impatience-I disconnected it, held it upside down and shook it persistently for five minutes while turning it as much as possible. After reconnecting it started to cool within an hour. Not sure this is advisable, not least because of the postural risk but it speeded up the process
