009 distributor is it an upgrade?

The vacuum unit on my distributor is weak, apparently. Thiking about buying one of JK's cheapo non-brand 009s to replace it. Anyone got anything good to say about this?

Why not just put a vac advance on it? or would that be too simple and cheap?
