was in lidi s today and bought a portaloo which fits neatly into cupboard where the gas tank was, now have to relocate the gas tank. this cupboard apparently was originally for a portaloo if you own a karisma with a portaloo where is your gas tank/tanks. now i am fully equiped for wild camping, hot cold water, fridge, loo,gas when reconected/located

I have a no Karisma
The loo goes in the floor cupboard next to the rear seat.
My gas bottles are at the right hand side of the sliding cupboard above that.
Hope makes sense.

You could maybe put the gas bottles under the cooker unit.
I cant, my leisure battery is at the bottom of that unit and the Trauma water heater is on the shelf above.
Not sure what the original karisma set up was regarding gas etc, mine might have been modified.
Gamwellsmythes on here have a Karisma, give them a shout .

The Kameo is the exact same layout and my portaloo fits in the bottom cupboard by the right of the fridge, the gas bootle fits in there too, by the right of the portaloo, :D

thanx tam my gas bottle would not fit in the cupboard on its own unless it was on its side let alone in the cupboard with the loo. it is one of the old type cylinders maybe they are slightly smaller now, will see when its empty but it seem to go on forever have used it for a year now on a regular basis and its still got plenty in it unusual for these wee cylinders

Gas bottles in floor cupboard next to bed, Truma water heater below cooker.

To be honest we've had the bus for a couple of years now and have never used the water heater. It gets in the way and we may get rid of it in the future. The hunt for more storage goes on.

We don't have a loo so don't have the location problem.

The set up that Dalmationman describes seems a good bet with no need to hack the cupboards up too much just get the gas pipe to the cupboard above.

We have the original brochure and it does show the loo where our gas bottles are.

Come to think of it we hardly ever use the onboard water tank so that might be removed in the future as well. Need more storage for yet to be discovered camping gadgetry that until we find it we didn't realise we were desperately missing out on.

I have a Truama water heater in my Karisma.
use it all the time.
Does take up a lot of storage but what a luxury !
If you get rid of it, can I have your outside grill cover, mine broke when the gate post attacked it unprovoked

Sure I read somewhere that Autohomes used a 'smaller' porta potti than the 'standard' size so both the potti and the gas bottle would fit in the said cupboard. I'm led to believe that these are now quite hard to find.

I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong

Our Truama outside vent cover is knackered as well. Doesn't look to be the strongest design.

I believe a company called Charles Church of Poole in Dorset took over the old Autohomes facilities or something and has a lot of spares. Worth a ring.

Someone on here will have a contact number for them.
