I had exactly the same problem...after checking the fuses/relays,taking all the headlamps out and checking the wiring they still didnt work,so i unscrewed the fusebox and found a loose wire behind there.I know its a bit of a shot in the dark, but your symptoms are the same so its worth a go! Good luck.

As Chris said it'll be the multi earth point up behind the fuse box, mine used to do this at least once a week, you can just about get your hand up behind and wiggle the earths around and they should come back to life, i recently fitted a clifford G5 alarm into my bus and had the fuse box out, i noticed how bad the crimped connects looked on all the earths so i replaced them all, 10min job and worth doing 8)

I had the same problem - there was a loose earth connection behind the fusebox. Dead easy to fix.

Also had this problem, in the end cleaning up the fuse holder with some wet and dry sorted it. Simple but you never know.

Then smear a thin coat of no-crode or bulb-grease on the earth terminals Bob, hopefully stop it happening when it corrodes again (and Gerry's out in it  )

I think we said if you keep asking at every Motor-shop and supplier, eventually somewhere will have it, Some said Vaseline is as good, but not red .. seen it on battery terminals after a service recently (red grease) so someone else has got some !

Bulb grease is packaged smaller, and more expensive, translucent stuff...

Glad that one is sorted, back to the original list now...

If your after Bulb grease or "Contact Grease", you could try a Radio Control model shop, certainly use to use it on Speed Controllers to prevent arcing when I was playing with them (when younger).

Else RS have "Contact treatment grease", which they do in an aerosol or syringe

Materials designed to prolong the service life and reliability of electrical contacts. They are all suitable for use with make, break or sliding contacts.
Lubrication is required to assist mechanical movement (reducing wear), suppress arcing activity and prevent oxide deposition/tarnishing, all of which will cause pitting and eventual breakdown if untreated.
