replacement 1.9tdi help needed !

i have a t25 crewcab 1.6td and am looking to put a 1.9tdi engine in, however i know more about women than i do engines etc and that isnt a great deal.Would anyone in the essex area fit the engine for me or point me in the right direction as to who will and give me an idea of how much a good engine would cost and how much to fit ?
i am new to the volkswagen world so will be asking plenty more silly questions, sorry.

If you have worked out how womem work a diesel engine should be pi$$ easy for you
Have a look through various posts on here as to what engines put in and whats involved, i would recoomend an AAZ but someone will be along shortly to recommend a Tdi.

believe me i havnt the faintest idea how or why a women works, if i did i wouldnt be married.i still dont know what an Tdi or an aaz is, what is the difference in cost reliabilty etc etc

Tdi is direct injection with full electronic control, wiring being the big job, although this has more bph/torque than the 1.6 it will have a lower top speed due to not revving very high. Mechanically very reliable, let down by electrics.
An AAZ is a 1.9 td is very similar to the 1.6 but is much nicer to drive and more reliable than the 1.6. This engine does have a problem with the bottom pulley coming loose destroying the engine, this can be easilly and cheaply avoided. This is the most popular conversion.
Cost wise they will be similar but finding sensible milage AAZ's is getting hard. If you get a tdi buy a complete car and don't throw anything away untill it runs as it should.

This engine does have a problem with the bottom pulley coming loose destroying the engine, this can be easilly and cheaply avoided. Please can you advice how this can be avoided.Does this mean replacing the crankshaft key way pin and torque up to the correct value and use thread locking solution on the crankshaft gear bolt.

New pulley and bolt every cambelt change and it will last.

MK3/4 passats
Ventos
Audi 80
Varios seats
92-99 but you be lucky to find one newer than 97.
Various improvements over years but not after 95 so a 95 on engine would be best.

A proply done 1.9TD by a garage will cost in the region of £1600 to £2000
A proply done TDI will cost u £5000 plus(DONE PROPLY)

ok a 1.9td it is, anybody got one ? Does the £2000 include the engine ?
