Hi Guys,
I've got some new struts so was going to put them on but when i tried to remove the old ones they seam stuck ( the ball joint on the door end )
after removing what looked like the locking pin the arm still won't move.
they look rusted and i wondered if there just stuck and need a bit of force or
will that just break it , is there another lock pin or something to hold it i can't see

Nothing else to remove only the R shaped pin if I recall

Just the clip, get an open-ended spanner that will fit behind the ball-end and try prising it with that, someone take the weight of the tail-gate while you do it as one strut may not be enuff to hold it up if it`s knacked

I had the same problem Phil.
And trying to work it off was bending the tailgate frame....
Give it a squirt of wd40 leave for 15 mins and then give it another go.
I ended up putting a chock in to get a bit of leaverage without bending the tailgate and then prized it off with an ammer.
probably a lot easier with somone else helping.
New ones make a hell of a difference though.....

I used an open ended spanner to pop the gas struts off the ball joints on mine. It tooks me less than 15 minutes to do both.
