Just got back from the Stanford Weekend. Top.

Anyway, started the van up (or should i say "Villa 3") and heard a horrible clunking noise when starting it up.

Any ideas whats going to break ?

from where ? did you take off the engine cover and have a look , could be starter not disengaging properly , im only in arnold if you need a second opinion and have good workhop at caunton that are currently doing my head rebuild . pm me if you need a hand

Thanks Sevy - unfortunately im just about to set off to Cambridge where i work during most of the week..

It sounds like its from the starter motor area - but i was in front of the van starting it!

I will have a look in the engine bay tomorrow - see if the starter motor is hanging off or something....
