Planning to go to france in August, and the passenger seat in '89 van has decided to play up. It slides up and down, most disconcerting when you brake to find the passenger move towards the windscreen and then back again. What can be done??
Has always been a problem to swivel around.

must be that the rod thru the seat base with the lever on the end isn't springing down into the slots properly, you could try a squirt of wd40 and keep wiggling your lever [ oo-er missus] to see if it frees it.
