Are there more than one type?

I am thinking of buying an engine that had these fitted...


but mine are the ones that fit flush.

Those are the ones fitted to earlier, eg Bay CJ engines - not interchangeable as the shape of heads are different as well.

Now I'm confused.

Mine seem to have the same in-line bolts as this.

I think the engine is currently in a type3.
