After picking up a knocking noise the other day, I too a look, offside lower ball joints busted open, left me enough grease to get home :)

So I've got another one on order from gsf (42417 £9.50)

Is ther any tips or gotchas on this job? Do I have (or is it best) to replace the upper one at the same time/ replace both sides of the ball joint.

Thanks for the advice.

Wookey

The bottom balljoint should be pressed in but apparently you can push them in with the weight of the van. otherwise theyr'e are a pain.
the top ones are easy but the gsf ones would not fit, the bolt holes would not line up so I had to gt one from JK's.

Boots split on mine, but joints still nice n tight, no noise / knocking .
As far as i can see you have to disconect the top 1 to get the bottom 1 off. pulling the steering knuckle towards u. May as well do both.
£10.85 part no j10297 JK .
