Ok, ive rounded off one nut and cant budge any of them

i have been soaking them in wd40 every few hours since yesterday morning, any advise on how to get them off?

angle grinder is the backup if all else fails.

soaking and then warming up with a gas torch, then the angle grinder, lotsa time and patience

From a personal point of view I find I have more success with rusty nuts/bolts if you 'tap' the spanner with a hammer rather than just straining on them. It may be that it breaks the 'seal'

Of the 8 nuts that bolt the exhaust to the head, the four I just tried to undo 'normally' sheared, the ones I tapped came out OK.

Make of that what you will, and of course your mileage may vary

as said above, penetrating oil spray and lots of heat usually does it, but be carefull of anything flammable nearby! if there's room to get a pair of mole grips or similar on, these have worked well for me before, too. you sound quite close to where i am Hembo, anywhere near Ilkeston?

It's a dark grey lhd caravelle carat, whats yours, seen a couple round there regular, a german fire engine sort, and a white pop top, any of those?

oh, you probably know, but use a 6 point [hexagonal] socket, not a 12 point one, to reduce the risk of rounding off ya nuts, got some if you need.

Thats a tidy looking van, any more picks you could mail me as Im lookin to change to blue?
As for the nuts, its also worth buying a "shoulder drive" socket as these drive on the flanks of the nuts/bolts and dont need the corners, wd40 heat would still apply though

Remember WD40 is NOT a penetrating oil. The old reliable 3D Oil is.
Highly recommended by some peeps on the forum is Plusgas.
