Our Lass came across these nifty litttle things during a shopping trip at Homebase,,,,,,,,as usual I said don't get any just yet as they are a little expensive.
I have since bought one as a test item till the price comes down a bit.

Anyone else come across them before ?
Regards,
Fritz,,,,,,,,
PS, they are a bit of an asre of a thing as you have to prize the whole lamp off what they have been stuck to so the batteries can be changed.

Fritz,
We got 3 in a pack from a camping shop, not osram though, but then they were £3.99 for all 3 with out battries.
We had em at Bustypes and they did give off quite a bit of light, they reckon up to about 100 hours, but that will depend on the battries used.
The only draw back is that you have to take the back off to change the battries and if they are stuck to the van how can you do that, we thought of using velcro.

Proper Dot-Its have a sticky back that can be used unlimited times, like the gooey stuff used to fix advertising pullouts into magazines.
Packs of 3 for about a tenner at Costco.
The Velcro backed ones are a bit larger, more cumbersone... but can be angled.
There has been an 80-90 therad about these a while ago...
Only downside is that the light is tad directional - Spot lightish, when a wider beam would be more useful - but handy enough for loading unloading etc. When stuck to doors slamming it upon exit can turn them on..!

I bought a couple of the dot-its a while back they where quite expensive. My mate discovered some imitation ones in the pound shop, she gets me all sorts of handy stuff for the van from there. they're plastic but 2 for £1 with out batteries.
I've also got some cool little LEDs on stalks that clip on and you can bend the wire stalk to any direction.
Have a mooch in a Poundland by you!
