Well I'm very excited, having just bought my first camper - a 1983 high top with a Reimo-esque interior.
One of the first additions I would like to make is a buddy seat to take a porta-potti.
Does anyone have a pattern I could use, or recommend a manufacturer, or selling one?
Currently passenger seat does not swivel, but if I got a swivel base I could use the buddy seat as a footstool as well!

Don't your legs catch on the edge of box when you are using the potty though?
Perhaps it needs a cutaway section at the front, with a make up piece on the lid edge.

I thought the exact same thing about the sides digging in your legs. In the end I came to the conclusion it would be better to take the toilet out for night use or keep it in the awning. I have ended up with a box to fit the toilet rather than the original Devon that I started out building. I think my method will work better as the toilet will not move about inside the box while traveling plus the box does not take up so much space and is still big enough to use as a buddy seat. Another thought about using it in the box is your aim will have to be true or the whole thing will stink in very short order.

I will be making up some steel box section legs soon if you or others want any while I am at it.

Well, I was a marksman with rifle & pistol, but....
It will be an "emergencies only" item, when going out in the cold and rain really is not an option.
I think I'll start off by buying the loo and experimenting with old ply to create a mock-up, then build prototype from MDF, sand & paint.

Anyone got any extreme views on preferred manufacturer? Fiamma BiPot 30 seems to be the most compact (and cheapest).

Picking the van up Thurs evening from previous owners in Herts, so will be a a test of faith driving 200 miles at night first go, especially over the Peaks! Must pack kettle.

I've owned both a bio pot - £44and a lidl one £29
opened up lidl one, inside was a thetford

the lidl one is going strong

the bipot lid broke within weeks

Wee oop's or should I say. We have just got a new Kampa Portaflush 21 Deluxe. A Thetford rip off so close all the Thetford parts are supposed to fit. Looks good so far and much cheaper than the brand name.

Isnt there a risk of falling off the table? Or is it s#tting from a great height?

Matt, Is that Lidl - as in the supermarket?
Do you have to find a major branch for them to be selling toilets?

No, we have a lidl here in Derby and we bought it from there....
