I have a bad oil leak from the input shaft on my gearbox, I had thought it was the engine and spent last weekend swapping the engines over with a spare Iv got. Been fine on short run's to work but took the van for a spin today parked and had a look started dripping then poured oil out between gearbox and engine then stopped. Risked driving home now need to fix it.

Is this a job I can do, or is it off to someone who knows and if so who, I live in Gloucestershire and would help if local.

You can obtain the input shaft oil seal from just kampers.I replaced this oil seal for the input shaft as a precution when the gearbox was replaced out of my van.Its a straight forward job read a haynes manual if available for guidence.

I wouldn't drive it if I were you as there is no way of telling how much oil has been lost, the last time mne went it was on a long journey and it was pissing out.
The previous owner lost his gearbox due to this, ps also check you have a spigot bearing in there or you willl be putting in a new seal every thousand miles.
trust me.
Its not to bad a job as long as all the bolts come out easy enough, you might have problems removing some of the driveshaft bolts, I welded in some old alan keys and then replaced all the bolts from JK's.
