T25 seatbelts for rock n roll beds

Just had my Just kampers rear seatbelt delivered. The box however said Front Seat belt. It had stickers on it saying it was a T25 rear belt, but i rang up to check, just in case JK had put the stickers on the wrong box etc. He said the front seatbelts from ford transits fit the T25 rock n roll beds, which is why the box says front seat belt even though JK have put T25 rear seatbelt sticker on the box. Anyway, just thought i'd let you all know, as if you're going to fit seatbelts in the back of your van it appears you could go to scrap yard and get a Transit front belt for a fraction of the £45 JK cost!

Just fitted one in mine, Kathy and thought the same when I saw the box so I phoned 'em too
They do fit great though. The only tricky bit I found was cutting a neat slot in the rear side panel so the belt from the reel could be passed through.

could someone point me to the full monty on rear belts please. I'm just about to get LPG'd with a tank under waht is currently a wooden box which we call a seat. I think you'd call it a "fold odwn bed " if pushed. It has two lap belts mountd on the angled bulkhead and we have "units"on the right hand side hence it's a 3/4 bed/seat.
I'm thinking about various options for the seat/bed inlcuding designing my own, just buying r+r hinges and working it out or finding one rnr 2nd hand (see wanted forum!). I'd love to get at leat one inertia reel in the back but this is a subect I've never quite got to grips with, what are options and problems - I can weld if that makes difference
All thoughts welcome
Cheers
Jim

if you are getting LPG'd and are planning R'n'R hinges then tell the gas fitter to leave enough room either end , t'other wise the hinges wont fit and you'll have to move the tank over a weeeeeeee bit ,
as for fitting seat belts , was your van a velle or a panel van before being a camper ?

you'll get one 3 point belt and one laptop belt.
3 point belt can be bought from JK as originally mentioned. It has intruction of how to fit it with it.
hope that helps,
kathy

..or two 3 point belts and a lap belt as the seat is probably still wider than the three belted seat in the back of a micra or somesuch and you can run one three point over or through the units if it's long enough. Also lots of modern cars have interesting over the head three point belts that could do two of the three seats and finally securon do a fit anywhere/anyway over the shoulder belt that is supposed to bolt to the floor in the back of older 4wd vehicles and the like that would also allow you to fit three 3 point belts in the back. I've also seen vans fitted with a variety of frames that allow the bolting of belts alsmost anywhere.
There is no "full monty" on rear belts vanjam, seems to me there is an endless variety of options.

it all depends as \Mark said if its a van or velle the velle had plates already there if its a van you need to weld in anchor nut plates on the floor and sides . as for the belts get any car inertia reel then buy the webbing and cut stitch to lenght make sure you get it stiched using an industrial sewing machine ie sail makers or military safety equipment bay and you have one extended rear seat belt , i think the scenic and other mpv with large belts fit also , and LDV

Has anyone got any photos of the fittings, especially with camper units and an R&R bed. I'm about to have my c'velle converted and would like proper belts fitted to the rear seats.
Thanks
