Anyone fitted a 4 cyl BMW diesel ?

Has anyone ever fitted or heard of a BMW engine being fitted in a t25 ?

No but anything is possible with time and money :? I think the biggest limitation with modern TDI type motors is the rev band is a lot narrower than the old type TD/AAZ motors, so gearbox ratios become an issue, ie loadsa money to sort the `box out.

My modern HDI engined car does 2700 revs at 80 MPH, which is comfortable. If it was mated to the T25 diesel `box it woul be doing over 4000 revs at 80MPH, or at least 3500 revs to keep at 70MPH. Not really happy at that ammount of revs for very long, well past where it`s supposed to be making power and torque.

seen one fitted to a Bay Window one - it was a inline 6cyl. you might have seen pictures of it, its gun metal grey and parks itself literaly on the grass.

Ive seen a TDI in a splitty and a bay, there is a yahoo forum just for tdi conversions, mine is hooked up to a standard box out of a 1.7 D will cruise at 60 all day hills dont slow it , im happy at that , but could do with a taller top gear
