I have a set of Audi Speedline Alloys in great condition.
They are 15" 7j with an ET45
Have found a shop that can machine out the centres to 65mm

The wheels have almost new 91 load rated tyres on there, I understand that I will have to replace these. Best load rating I can find is 95 tyres are 205 60 15 which should keep the speedo on the button. Do I definately have to buy these higher load tyres?

I also think I could do with 15mm spacers, but I can only find 10mm or 20mm? Any suggestions?

I assume that I will need 20mm loger studs and stud inserts for the front.

What do you all think?

I'm pretty sure the original profile was 185/82 X 14C...so yours on 205/60 15 are a little under
a 225/60 will be closer.

10mm spacers should be fine with longer studs and radiused nuts...all available from Brickwerks

I can't find any reinforced tyres in this size ..maybe others can ...but any tyre above 97 is safe in my opinion.
If you go below and there is a problem then it's on your head. I have not heard any scary stories so there is something in that

I found a tyre size checker and I think you are spot on, I need a 225 ideally, though I will have a look at some different height / width combo's to see if I can find better tyres.

nope ...nor am I suggesting you do

I weighed my van on a public weighbridge...fuelled and full up and ready for two weeks camping

So I would be a tad concerned on any thing under 97

footnote here 16" rims offer more in the way of reinforced tyres..... no use to you of course, it's just that I found the tyre first then went for the rim

I have found a 96 rated tyre and that covers my Aircooled weight loaded at the +20% suggested rule. So will head down that route.
