OIL LIGHT

Is this normal as I don't have a drivers manual. When I turn the ignition on the oil light flashes but as soon as it is running the light goes out. I have check the oil and it is ok!

If it goes out straight away it should be ok, when you srike it up both the oil and battery lights flash then go out thats normal is that what you mean?.
If it stays off after striking it up it s ok.
