I"m thinking of making some new curtains for our camper..
anyone know how much material i will need or if its more viable to just buy them ready made i checked a few people out at van fest but still have not done anything about it.

Darling wife made ours and a fine job she did too.
She's pretty handy with a sewing machine and it still took her quite some time. Nothing tricky apparently but lots of windows to cover.

2 large ikea curtains will do your whole van. I did ours and that's what I used I bought blackout lining too to ensure the darkness on the early summer mornings and to keep the heat out for the Woof Woof.
cheap and very effective
top tip: use the tab tops for your tie backs they are the perfect width though you will have to make some extras.

Hi
What colour are you thinking of?
I have a set of lilac ones that you can have.
They came in our van and were nearly new, made by dunelm and fully lined, tie backs and 3/4 r&r mattress covers
Proper quality and everything, but combined with the purple carpet and purple paint, it was all a bit too teenage girls bedroom for us, so we dumbed it down a bit.
If they would suit, you can have them.

I used 3 fleece blankets from Cosco at £10 each fully lined and padded. All I did was cut to size and sew roman blind tape along the top.
I will post some pic's if ur intrested, a-h Clockwise from passenger door.
Stiched some Neodymium Disc Magnets 6mm x 1mm in to the cormers and they stick to the van a treat.
£30 3 x Blankets - Costco
£3 50 x Neodymium Disc Magnets - Ebay
£4.50 10M Roman Blind tape - Local curtain shop.
£37.50 For a set of 8 (I know most do 7's)

SAFETY WARNING: I hope that all the peeps who make their own curtains (& seat/mattress covers) are using fire retrardent materials? If not, then they should be using a fire retardent spray to treat the items they have made before installing them in their beloved camper.
