Rocket cover filled up with oil

"New" 2.1 DJ back in the van after getting new cylinder head gaskets. The oil buzzer came on, but luckily I figured out the cables had been switched. When bleeding the coolant, it came back on
I'll connect an oil pressure gauge and try to figure out what's going on. I took off the rocker cover, and one side was completely filled with oil. What should that be telling me? I've never seen one completely filled before

All boxers throw a lot of oil into the LH 3&4 rocker cover, the crank rotation creates a standing wave in the sump and pushes oil up the pushrod tubes. Its known as windage.
Might have been overfilled, which would restrict the drain back into the sump. Could also possibly be exacerbated by high crankcase pressures.

Thank you, that was the answer I was hoping for. And yes, it was on cylinders 3 & 4. I've just never seen it filled up like that before, but it's good to know that's normal. Now I need to do some more testing on the buzzer. When the switch is unplugged and I rev the engine above 2,000 rpm, it should buzz, right?

With the high pressure switch unplugged it should buzz over 2k.
The low pressure switch is for the warning light and merely confirms that you have some oil coming out of the pump and going to the bearings.
