Evening all,

The horn on my Auto-Sleeper sounds like a dead mouse being run over and desperately squeezing out its last bit of air. It’s incredibly quiet and not much use!

Has anyone upgraded theirs to something a bit louder? If so, any recommendations or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Get duel high and low tone horns , they are much louder and will fit in the same location

Dont buy a two tone horn. They are an MOT failure. Ask me how I know.

I have a Stebel Nautilus, it required a relay to be fitted to work properly, it's more than loud enough.

Two tones at the same time is perfectly fine. Lots of cars have those from factory. But two tones sounding in alternating sequence is very very not allowed

Yeah Chat GPT said most 12v will need a relay fitting, I was ideally looking for a straight swap plug and play.

I have one of these on my van. no relay fitted. And it works just fine.

My car has a 2 tone horn fitted from factory and so do most of my vehicles they both south at the same time , why was it failed ? I don’t mean a musical one

Check the V and ground to your horn. Mine is original and works just fine.

They said something about it not being a single continuous sound. It was a few years ago now.

some of our vans were fitted with dual tone horns as standard - two frequencies make for better audibility, so a proper 2 tone can't be MOT fail
