Hot start relay regular failure

Hello everyone-I have replaced the hot start relay 3 or 4 times over approximately 6 or 7 years- they have various brands including Hella. I will probably revert back to original starter wiring if I can as have recently replaced the ignition switch (I was doubtful I would be able to do it when I fitted the hot start relay and wiring). I just wondered if others have had the same issue or if anyone can recommend a brand and supplier (I usually go to brickwerks but I don’t believe they stock these?)
Many thanks

What do you mean by hot-start relay ?
Not something that was ever fitted by VW
So why fit it ? Is it to cure a symptom caused by some other issue ? Like a worn out ignition switch or old corroded wiring or tired battery or poor alternator charging
Always good to keep it stock imho

Thanks Aidan - fitted aftermarket by myself when I wasn’t confident enough to tackle the ignition switch but have done that now and will be reverting back- I agree completely that stock / original is best- I was just wondering if others had experienced a similar issue with the relays packing up
Cheers
