Anyone done this sucessfully? Specifically on a later type GRP cover that is irreplaceable because its got the Oettinger wbx6 identity sticker on it! I am aware that the original contoured foam is reinforced with chicken wire - I stripped one off years ago - but its now going to dust.
I understand that class 0 foam sheet is the stuff to use, fire retardent acoustic sheet.
Thoughts/experiences?

I have heard of folks using this stuff before now.

Thanks for the samba link, the layered foam approach with appropriate cutouts looks good. But is is fire retardent? Although if you have an engine fire anyway its almost irrelevant!

I've used fire retardant engine room liner from the nautical world. Works nicely.
