An electric hob is going to take a lot of electrical energy , that's why they are very rare ic campers and personaly would only see them getting a look in if your always on EHU.

your going to need a 2Kw inverter to give a margin, and inverters introduce ~ 20% loos of energy ... with that ypu will be looking at ~ 30 mins cooking time out of a 100AH leisure battery without damaging it.

a 907 Gaz cylinder will have an overall smaller footprint to provide a days burn with ~2kw output.

I have a small portable induction hob, run at half power it pulls about 350watts and boils a kettle in a few minutes, work great with my lithium solar setup.

It's a streetwise one from eBay about £40

I got it as a back up for gas. But may well use it more often

Cooked my breakfast on it as well.

Setup is a homemade solar genny, 125amp lifepo4 battery, 1600watt inverter, and 20 solar controller with portable panels. All ideal for my Doka weekend camper setup
