Holdsworth Villa 1 lining carpet

New owner of a Villa 1 and loving it but the interior roof and panel lining has pretty much had it. It’s got black mould like stains, is degraded in areas and disintegrates into dust at the slightest touch so needs replacing.
Has anyone else done this?
I’m fairly confident with replacing the panels but what should I expect to find in the roof as some of the contours along the window don’t look like they’re panels, is the carpet just stuck directly to the van? I’d like to try and keep the original aesthetic with ribbed carpet ideally. (Brown & beige colours)

Be good to hear from anyone that has done this on a Holdsworth pop-top.

Welcome to the delights of a Villa 1, I did the same job after getting fed up of beige dust and fibres everywhere, bald patches and discolouring. The pod over the bed can be removed there are several screws on the inside. Roof carpet was just glued to the metal, above the kitchen unit and the slider are aluminium carpet covered panels that screwed to the frame of the van. All the other carpet is held on by glue and or covers screwed on.
Use a good high temp glue and stretchy carpet. Will take a while but look and photo what you take off. The over bed pod was a real challenge did each end and a centre section separately.
