1.6 JX tappets

Just getting ready to check and set the tappets . I wanted to check on here because it’s not clear in the Bentley manual.
So from the cambelt end is the valve sequence as follows
inlet/exhaust/inlet/exhaust/inlet/exhuast/inlet /exhaust .

I've got this to do on mine. It's says in the JX service manual. I'll have a look now.

Its symmetrical about the mid point, so doesn't matter which way your looking at it.

The Bentley doesn't cover oil burners.

you wont be able to set them unless you have specialist gear and a stack of spare shims, you can check them easily enough

I’ve got the specialist gear , bought it a good while back ..

I’ve checked in the Bentley manual on a cylinder head diagram and this looks like it’s right .
can anyone confirm ?

I would have made more sense if the had used 'E' for exhaust!
