aftermarket rev counter

looking for some help on how to fit a after market rev counter to a late van.Im not the best at doing electrics so ant help would be good thanks

The green wire going to pin 9 on the 14 pin edge connector that supplies the dash is the rev signal from the coil on a petrol van; you'll need to T off it to make a connection to your rev counter and also supply live and neutral power feed to it. Don't disconnect pin 9 from the edge connector or your buzzer of doom (Dynamic oil pressure warning system) won't work, it needs to know if revs are above 2,000rpm
