having troble with low water level warning on a 84 dg , have checked the wiring and bridged the sensor wires but it still flashes all the time .
have checked the cuircuit bord all ok [ no bad conections]
bentley wiring diagram says there is a coolant low level control unit , but icant find it am i being stupid ??? can any one shed some light please as i am begining to think i am a bit dim

is it the one int' top up tank?

You can try taking the sender out and cleaning the contacts. Also check the conector on top of the sender that seems to get a bit of corrosion too.
