My Webasto ST2000D heater; fan runs but heater does not β€˜fire up’ ? What are probable faults and remedies in best order to tackle faults?

Is it getting fuel right to the unit? Is there an air lock in the fuel filter? Is the intake hose clear (no water in it)?

Sometimes needs several on off cycles just to get fuel pumped back to the heater.

Can sometimes be a faff to restart when they're not happy

Davidtoft1, the heater has not been run for about 3 months ! But I did use to run for short periods before as per recommends!

Maybe lack of use has caused an operational fault!?!

Eventually removed fuel pump and filter to check fuel flow ok. Changed filter but found pump rubber mounting had failed and pump mainly suspended by fuel pipes and electrical connection. The electrical connector was defective so no power to the pump. I made a new cable connection and then the pump worked as normal. Cable tied pump in place and now heater runs ! Needs to be run about 15 mins at least per month :ok
