Hi all,

Just wandering peoples thoughts on jacks? We need one and cant find a reasonably priced one the goes high enough! Do people use Trolley Jacks or Bottle Jacks and also do people just get a shorter one and maybe put Scaffold boards ubderneath? Would this be safe enough?

I travel with a bottle jack, which can lift any wheel off the ground by placing under the wishbones. A big Trolley jack for home stuff. Then of course swap in some jack stands

Did you manage to get trolley jacks that go high enough?

My high-lift trolley jack goes high enough.

I travel with a 1,5 tonne scissorjack. It's a bit feeble but it gets one wheel off the ground. At home i've got a normal trolleyjack that I bought when I still had my mx-5. A high-lift one would definately be a lot nicer.
