The truck is finally going after being stood for about 2 years and sounds really good.

There is however a steady leak from under the diesel pump. I am gussing that it's coming somewhere from by the throttle spindle, maybe a seal has dried up over those couple of years.

Has anyone experience of this situation please? Any ideas of a kit to reseal it? Can it be done in situ? etc....

I don't really want to remove the whole pump if I can get away with it but I do have one that was serviced by someone on Club 80-90 a few years back which I didn't need to fit. I'm hoping that it is still serviceable after this time. Would it make sense to take the spindle out of this one and swap them over?

Try to locate the source of the leak , o wouldn’t swap parts you may end up with 2 unusable pumps, pump removal is pretty straightforward

Cold start lever shaft o-ring leaking is a favourite - if you have one on your pump. This looks like coming from underneath without close inspection. Can be done in situ with difficulty on some pumps.

I had the head plug (containing the timing access bolt) leaking on my jx which was thankfully an easy fix.
hubcap 61 led me to a video of how replace a injection pump head seal which might be useful to you if it turns out you have a leak there.

        Warning. It is my understanding that mechanical pumps ( jx /aaz) have a couple of extra springs that would be dislodged unless the pump is removed and worked on ,on end. So not an in situ job to do the injection head seal I am afraid!

I have had a good look and am pretty certain that it's coming from the throttle lever. 

I assume that that's the bit on top near at the rear of the vehicle with a couple of springs and what look like plastic seating inside the springs.

I have a clip on my phone of it dripping down onto the cold start lever so can only think it must be that.  I agree that robbing a good one would be potentially very foolish and am just wondering whether, given where I'm sure the leak is, it can be sorted without removing the pump.

I'll try to post the clip once I have fathomed how!!
