Hey all!

I'm new here but have owned older vehicles before. Bought my van 6 weeks ago, looking to finally get on top of the oil leaks. It appears to be coming from both rocker covers.

The corners are mangled, no idea how, and the gaskets are compressed now too. Is it worth just changing the gaskets or should I buy new covers too?

Probably best to do both, if budget allows. Maybe there are some better second hand ones somewhere?

Buy new cork gaskets give them a thin smearing of grease all around and fit into the covers then put the covers back on. If the bailing arms aren't applying enough pressure it can cause them to leak a bit too. They probably not been off forever and the arms more than likely gonna be stuck with grime/rust.
