Sorry I forgot to ask do I need to remove the tank to put the new seal in.
Cheers

Don't bother trying to fit a replacement before travelling. It will end in tears. No the tank can stay in place.
Buy some black K2 silicone sealant or equivalent. Clean it up with petrol, and slaver it around the perished bits of the filler neck seal.
This is what my MOT man did years ago to pass my camper.

This is a bit of a pain to do. It means removing the cap, surround, filler neck seal and the plastic filler tube. And the overflow vent tube as well.
It will be challenging to spread some silicone on the tank seal. What are the symptoms? Fuel pxssing all over the floor? Or just smell of petrol?

Are you 100% sure it is the tank sealing ring? Does it drop fuel from the start of refuelling and not when brimming the tank?
Well, as you are heading away come Tuesday, l would try and put some sealant on the seal, if that is the prblem.
If you try fitting a replacement, it means starting at the bodywork and disturbing the outer cap panel, the fuel filler seal and ring behind the body panel, both will likely cause issues due to rust, the fuel spout and overflow.
In my opinion, providing it is not excessive, l would live with it for now and fix on return.
